People leave as a last resort. Improve the social , moral, economic and cultural situation, and dismantle the crypto containment policies that America imposed on the Third World, and then people will not leave because life would be more bearable in India than elsewhere.

Reservation in jobs and promotions in public sector like Railways, ISRO,ONGC,BSNL etc is one of the major reasons for general category people migrate. I personally know a few of them.

What nonsense!! She conveniently forgot to mention the $80 to 90 billion sent back in remittances annually by the NRIs who are being vilified here for government subsidies on education. Not to mentiom the lack of higher education e.g. 8-10 PG seats after MBBS that thousands of students have to compete for. Better they go abroad and send money back to India than languish oin a jobless/ helpless state.

Do you reckon with brain drain, mainly thick people were left behind who elected a vile hate preaching, far right hindutva fascist tea maker Modi, , and so India is in a mess? Same for the USA and Trump supporters and my country the UK with Boris Johnson!

It is not hurting, instead it is aiding. Those who leave India always think of India as their first country and send a lot of money back to their parents/families. Also some go back rich and start companies/ventures and bring the American culture of work there. So it helps India develop faster than if they had just stayed in India and wasted their potential under the rampant nepotism and corruption of Indian systems.

because in india caste and reservation matters than talent and hard work. This trend is only going to go wider and wider. we want to give citizenship of rohingyas and bangladeshis and kick out smart brains because they dont make vote bank.

Because majority Indians are way more focused on traditions which we can see in every institutions. Change is not welcomed. We want progress but dont want to change and adapt to new options. Our policy makers are redundant because they know that they can always fool us during the time of election by confusing us with how much they can do to promote our religion, even after 75 years of independence them still trying to gain vote through religious sentiments, and the masses are still into it.

Few points I would like to add to this.
    1. Safety for females, no one cares what you wear, where you go. Gender equality in the workplace as well. (no frequent rapes, acid attacks news)
    2. Cleanliness, hygiene, and a lot of places to explore. In one Indian middle-class family, it is not so easy and usual to have foreign trips frequently, where earning in dollars and proper financial planning can give you that quality life experience.
    3. In foreign, the ratio of household responsibility is much better than in India. Husband helps equally in household chores and wife takes equal responsibilities of financial burden. Better child education is also part of it.
    4. Better work-life balance. You work really hard 5 days a week (of course with better payment) but you get time for yourself and your family for 2 days. No one will call you from the workplace on Saturday Sunday.
    5. Ease of doing business in few countries, gives you freedom of choices and lifestyle. And, even if you don't want to do business there is no such thing as "Chhota Kam". Every work pays well with the policy of minimum wage.
    6. Part-time work concept exists well, with part-time work students can actually take care of their expenses well. No big burden of child education on parents.

India has not yet become so unlivable that people have to flee because of religious, political or racial persecution. Well not yet! People are leaving for greener pastures. Especially those who can afford to because of their qualifications or wealth. Other nations obviously not want the rest of Indians. These immigrants have the right to leave the nation that gave them these advantages but certainly there is no need to glorify them also. And there is no need to assume that those who can afford to go abroad but chose to remain in India are dumb and oppressed. There are some oldfashioned concepts like serving Mother India which might have lost its meaning and has become the slogan of the mindless mobs but which still resonates with a lot of Indians.

7:07 now this is a good point but does any one even care how difficult it is for a med student who did his mbbs from India and earn in a residency compared to that in us it about5 to 6 Γ— and u get the equipments way better than india where it is available only in private colleges and hospitals ,it's not what the tag of an "nri" is given to him that matters, the skill which he or she can pursue in his life for which u don't have the necessary things in India for everyone to get only the top 1% get it but what about the rest u are worried about the 1% but forgot the 99% who are there in India but are unemployed solve the main cause and then ask whe they are migrating
That's what I think about the issue

Does anyone else find it wierd that Microsoft and the IMF are mentioned here? I hope they don't try to own the Indian government through corporate money…like other places are already owned. It would be a great strategic move, hiring Indians if they want to get into that position. Complete speculation…I know…but I wouldn't be so surprised these days. 😬

This lady has also conveniently forgotten that all the tech cities in India (B’lore, Hyderabad, Noida, Gurgaon) did not just pop up on their own. No company would invest in India blindly. It was the NRIs who brought those partnerships back, many times on their personal credibility.
All companies in US know that it takes Indian manager to be abe able to successfully lead an India-based team. That is billions of $ in business and trade. All these cities happening as these people took an initiative in getting educated and learning in an international environment, to bring it back.

We are not comfort with innovation…we just focus on govt job generation by generation for survival. Reason is that most of the institution gave us little bit of exposure to think out of the box .so,if we need to develop our country..we need to change our mind set ..that's it.
