Looks like only buildings and stuff were damaged, no casualties. That's good.
You can always repair or replace stuff. That's what flood insurance is for.

    🇧🇷 Brazilian Comment 🇧🇷
The federal government, states governments and non-governmental organizations are sending help, rescuers, boats, helicopters, drinking water, food and resources but it's not enough.
The situation is critical and the water amount is not decreasing. More rains are coming.
Yes, this is related to deforestation, but the people suffering are not the same people who deforested. Be kind.
The federal government supports agribusiness, Mining companies and lumber companies who do the deforestation and even scrapped the resources of the forest police. Everyone in government who tries to do something about it ends up losing their jobs, We don't know what to do anymore. They only care about profit. We're lost.

During drought season all land that is part of flood plain is being encroached and adverse effects are experienced when it rains.

It's like this summer in Canada's BC floods.. Its all over.
So much for global warming being a hoax..
BTW Brazil. Those forests you are cutting. Are good flood barriers. They control erosion and keep the land from washing away… Maybe you should think about the future instead of today's profits.

BBC will say nothing of the forest devastation creating this. Lying, smudging the truth and then they promote the Global warming threat. Talk of missing the point The BBC are the reporting warped agenda media. Their 50million funder, Gates is in the dock for Genocide with all the other fabricators of nonsense for Earth domination. Sheep! They did this in Bangladesh in the early seventies. Chop the forest upland and you get floods. Not rocket science and they peddle this time and time again. Get em gone NOW
