The only intelligent sports group on the planet would appear to be the NHL who simply refuse to send their players to the genocide Olympics and the emperor made no comments about sanctioning them in anyway shape or form. It’s time for other sport groups to withhold their athletes from the dangers that they will have to face in Beijing.

Seems China has been successful, so far, in curbing Covid.

China is one of few countries that can do so.

Hopefully China is well along in vaccinating its population in before delta gets a foothold.

That, I feel, is why they are trying very hard to keep delta in check, and their economic engine going, until vaccinations are complete…

Omicron will no doubt soon make its way to China’s population and perhaps keep the more serious delta at bay.

By that time (Olympics?) that time vaccinations will keep hospitalizations down to a manageable level.

    My opinion….

Seems China has been successful, so far, in curbing Covid.

China, for various reasons, is one of the few countries that can do so.

Hopefully China is well along in vaccinating its population before delta gets a foothold somewhere.

That, I feel, is why China is trying very hard to keep delta in check, and economy going, until vaccinations are complete…

The super infectious Omicron variant will no doubt soon make its way to China’s population and perhaps in doing so it may also help keep the more serious (and deadly) delta variant at bay.

Most vaccinated individuals with omicron will stay out of hospitals, likely recover at home in a week or so, and be back to work.

I imagine the economic ‘engine’ that is China can weather an omicron invasion as long as population is vaccinated.

China’s current level of vaccinations may keep hospitalizations due to omicron (a much less deadly variant than delta) down to an acceptable level.

    Now…

Some concern expressed over efficacy of Sinovac based vaccines and the omicron variant.

I expect that if there are any deficiencies in current Chinese vaccines against omicron they will soon be rectified, if not already.

If that is the case, in very short order (China seems good at this) mass produced ‘booster’ vaccines can be administered, perhaps beginning in areas where omicron is most likely to appear, including where Olympic Games are taking place.
