South Korea added over 5-thousand-800 COVID-19 cases as of Saturday while the number of critically ill patients was over 11-hundred.
The daily figures are down from the 7-thousand range earlier this week.
But the daily figures of severely ill patients were the highest at over 11-hundred and there were more than a hundred deaths.
There have been 81 new Omicron variant cases, of which 42 came from overseas.
The country is accelerating vaccine booster shots and tightening stricter disease prevention measures to curb surging cases.

Omicron; 2 weeks ago this promiscuous virus came to my home, via my wife visiting a friend and having a call afterward and telling us that they tested positive. I didn't have any symptoms since we r all vaxxed (natural infection, vector shot, and mRNA booster), so my son. My partner had headaches for a couple days and fatigue with a low fever and lasted around 2 days (active and not in bed),
and after recovery, she had an ear infection(don't know if is covid related) but with a few pills for a few days now, she is ok, so I don't know if the ear infection is part of the deal with omicron, but keep that in mind. especially among children , stay safe and healthy ppl

Japan was heavily criticized for not testing everyone as Korea does. According to them, the more you test, the more you can solve this problem. Some Koreans after learning it , they got pleased and start to bragg itself for being an "example" bashing Japan. That shows that testing number doesn't lead to solution of this problem and bragging about your "success" is not a good thing to do. Anyway, I hope you guys can recover from it.
