일본, 사도광산 유네스코 세계문화유산 등재 추진..외교부 “국제사회와 함께 단호히 대처”
South Korea called for “immediate retraction” of Japan’s efforts to list a former mine linked to wartime forced labor… as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Tokyo has reportedly been pushing to register Sado mine,… where more than a thousand Koreans were forced into treacherous working conditions, during Japan’s colonial rule.
Seoul’s foreign ministry announced, it finds such efforts “very deplorable.”
And added that the government will respond firmly with the international community to prevent the mine from being designated as a World Heritage site… without a full explanation.
The ministry also called in an official from the Japanese Embassy in Seoul to protest the move.

Remember nanking !!
Remember nanking !!!
Does the Japanese embassy denies these claims?
Japan's right-wing regime does not know how to say "So sorry…that was our fault" to victims during WW2 in Asia and the EU. And the Japanese people who want to follow extreme nationalism have been saying that they are innocent people and they are the victims of WW2. Because the US govt threw out nuclear bombs on Japan's ground at the time to take down Japan's military. So lots of American diplomatic experts have warned that Japan should stop their preposterous speech all over the world again and again.
They happened the pacific battle between Japan and other western countries like the US, so they just became losers from alliance nations' powerful military. If the Japanese citizens and their central govt don't want to be morons' icons in world politics, they should've said that they would go to the way of Germany soon. But Japan's extreme nationalist group "Netouyo" might not do that since they are the race of invasion and they proved it through their past history as the race of war. Honestly, they might've forgotten the word "Sorry" through their racial characteristics.
How many times should I have to say the immovable fact to a miserable country located in the peninsula of China continent? Kor ppls were Japanese at the time, some of them fought the battle as Japanese soldiers and worked for JPN. Don´t be hypocrites upon distorted history. There wasn´t any problem that the Gov. commandeered the ppls as militants and/or war workers. The ppls had to follow the order standing on the law REGARDLESS OF THEIR THOUGHT.
Needless to say, the present SKor's young aged male must join the SKor troop for the training regardless of their thought. There is no difference between above twos. Again, Kor´s ppls were Japanese at the time. Kor as a state didn't exist after the time when JPN-Kor TREATY 1910 was issued.
Frankly speeking, SKor is not good at thinking things logically. All of silly claims toward JPN are upon sentiment coming from its bitter history that Kor became a part of JPN even though the JPN´s annexation of Kor has been done by begging of Kor´s emperor.
Kor´s Gov. often says, "We have 5,000 years history." But it's not an appropriate. Kor's history (China too) has many changes of dynasty, which means it requires the new dynasty has the good reason for destroying the old one and being in power. History distortion is just one step for them and lie is just a tool. As you guys may know, modern Kor´s ppls are forced to learn that Kor and its ppls were victims of JPN and Kor has never invaded others in its history. lol
The Dutch man who introduced Kor to Europe for the first time, named Hendlik Hamel touched about nationality of Kor ppls through his experience of 17years staying at Kor, "They tell lies and they don't think it's disgrace."
Id be more worried about communist Chinese run Korea than western run Japan
Again not a word about this until it surfaced with UNESCO heritage application.
You guys are nothing but pathetic con artists.
What a nice country! ROK begins another smear campaign again.
The issue was solved 75years ago. That's why ROK can't join the CPTTP. LOL
Youtube deleted my previous comment. I cannot understand the reason.
I say again.- As usual, a Koreans' fake complaint. We are really disgusted.-
" a thousand Koreans were forced into treacherous working conditions"
Most of them applied for the job and were handsomely paid. Japan gave tons of money to Korean government to compensate for unpaid wages based on 1965 Agreement. Korean government pocketed the money.
sad sad, korea forced LoL… while they were happily reaping the Vietnamese and Laidaihan during Viet war under Imperial Japanese tactics… Talking loyalty LoL
Forgot to ask… What happened to "No, Japan" You arent going to stop now are you?
