TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran basketball team lost to Jordan 91-76 in the quarterfinal round of the 2022 FIBA Asia Cup on Wednesday.

Iran’s Mohammad Jamshidi scored 23 points and Dar Tucker chipped in 29 points for Jordan.

Iran started the campaign with an 80-67 win over Syria and also beat Kazakhstan 96-60 and Japan 88-76 in Group C.

Team Melli showed a weak performance against its West Asian opponent in Jakarta.

The 2022 FIBA Asia Cup is being held in Jakarta, Indonesia from July 12 to 24.
