Russia’s Supreme Court has ordered the closure of Memorial, the country’s most prominent human rights group, which chronicled Stalin-era purges and was a symbol of democratic change after the fall of the Soviet Union.

The ban follows a wider crackdown on opposition politics and independent media.

Prosecutors had accused Memorial of failing to indicate in its publications that the group received funds from overseas.

It receives funding from Soros and refuses to let people know thats the case. National Endowment for Democracy is another one of its backers and its wildly known as a money laundering front for CIA.

What is interesting about this FAKE MSN story is what they don't tell you. This is a hack job of reporting. What they are not telling you is why the court ruled the way it did. First off Memorial is not a human rights group. They hide behind that title. They actually are a political group. Just because you call yourself one thing, and do another is suspicious in itself. Because Russia knows that they are a political group hiding behind a human rights title. What the court asked from them was to publicly list the foreign sources they received money from so Russians wanting to support or join the group would be able to know who else was financially supporting them. This is the law in Russia. You take foreign funds, you report those foreign contributors. Memorial refused to report it's foreign sources of income. The court gave then time to report, and they still refused. So after some time and they did not publicly list their foreign donors, the court shut them down. In the USA when a political organization receives support of any kind from foreign nationals you have to report to the USA government. We spent 4 years arresting and jailing people for lying about it. The Trump Russiangate scandal. At least here no one went to jail, but in the USA they did…

Same amounts and names of laws that each antidemocratic regime apply. Are exactly the same step to consolidate this model. It's a shame how we're forgetting something that we reached in the past. Just 80 years ago.
